The 40,000-square-foot Ocean Club was conceived of as two buildings: The Clubhouse, perched along the upper dune for views of both the Atlantic and Sea of Abaco, houses the main lobby, concierge, administration, retail, spa, locker rooms, entertainment, kids’ area, snack bar, outdoor pursuits and pool. Across a great lawn; the lounge bar and dining stretch along the edge of the beach with the back-of-house facilities behind.
Straddling the 1st and 18th fairways, with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, the concept for the 16,500-square-foot Atlantic Club included a dining terrace, pro shop, locker rooms, and below-grade cart storage.
The design was inspired by traditional Bahamian architecture, using layered white limestone roofs and cement plaster walls, with the scale of a residential compound.
