‘In Harmony with the Hills’
This mountain lakeside retreat was recently selected by Tahoe Quarterly for the Mountain Home Awards 2021 and features a contemporary rustic character that lends itself to be ‘in harmony with the hills’.
“Striving for a transitional design that was contemporary in expression and traditional in form and mass, a project team created a timeless family home that blends seamlessly into Lake Tahoe’s historic Glenbrook community.”
Yellow Jacket Residence is one of the most restrained and controlled designs—from its exterior through to its interior detailing—a modern design that blends with the predominantly traditional styles of this older resort community on Lake Tahoe’s east shoreline. There is a strong tradition of clients, architects, and builders who have a genuine affinity for this alpine mountain region, and it shows in the local architecture and craftsmanship.
