Mark is the founding design partner of de Reus Architects. Renowned for his award-winning resorts and residences, Architectural Digest recognized Mark as one of the world’s top architects and designers in their AD 100 list. In 2011, ORO Editions published Tropical Experience: Architecture + Design, a 344-page book of his work.

Over his 35-year career, Mark has received numerous design awards and has been featured in international design publications and on the TV show Amazing Waterfront Homes.

Mark is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, and Hawaii Leeward Planning Commission. He is also a board member of the Hawaii Meth Project. His work has been influenced by extensive international travel.

Earlier in his career, Mark was the design principal of Hart Howerton’s Hawaii office; managing partner of PAI, based in Jakarta, Indonesia; and senior vice president of San Francisco-based BAR Architects. He received his architecture degree from the University of Idaho.
