This private resort, located on one of the premier oceanfront properties in Old Bahama Bay Resort in the Grand Bahamas, functions as a private resort in the international luxury resort market.

Organized around a 120-foot long architectural pool, the main gathering area and five bedroom suites have a village-like presence in both scale and organization. Two 1,000-square-foot master suites anchor the compound at each end.

Architectural detailing offers a continuation of Thai-style design from exterior to interior and contributes to the desired exotic atmosphere. The property is bounded in front by the ocean and a protected sandy beach, and in back by a deep-water canal with private docking for yachts.

Completed in 2006 in association with Hart Howerton, Mark de Reus was design principal during the conceptual design with Dan Whitney completing design development and the architectural work to the point of construction.

This home was featured as a “Haute Hideaway in the Bahamas” in the Ultimate Homes Special Issue of Robb Report in May 2010 and has been showcased in 50 different publications.
