Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for designers and architects with a combination of design and technical abilities who can work both independently and collaboratively. Ideal candidates will have experience with both new construction and renovation along with a proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD and graphic design software tools (Adobe applications). Individuals are expected to have experience putting drawing sets together at all stages of design and documentation, as well as coordinating consultants and project teams/deadlines.

Executive Assistant

We are seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to join our collaborative team in the Sun Valley, Idaho office.  The EA is responsible for supporting the firm’s President and in close collaboration with other members of the leadership, administrative and project teams.  Previous experience working in a design firm environment is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree required
  • 4+ years of related professional administrative experience, front office experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, quality and thoroughness
  • Proactive and able to work independently with good judgment and minimal direction
  • Highly organized and capable of effectively handling multiple tasks concurrently
  • Adaptable and resourceful in handling shifting, sometimes competing, priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining a friendly, positive and helpful attitude
  • Ability to interact with clients and employees alike with utmost professionalism
  • Must maintain strict confidence and discretion with confidential information

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Assist President with scheduling meetings, calendar management, correspondence, travel arrangements, reminders/deadlines, call handling, email handling and light personal book keeping
  • Support President to maintain professional credentials and social media profiles
  • Assist in marketing and business development efforts to track and respond to client leads
  • Assist President to submit timesheets and expense reports
  • Provide support to the Administrative and Leadership team members as needed, to include:
    • Answer, screen and forward all incoming phone calls
    • Filing both digital and paper
    • Assist with updating digital library files
    • Retrieving mail and parcels at the Ketchum Post Office
    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail/parcels/deliveries/couriers
    • Set up coffee and beverage in the conference room for client and project meetings
    • Ordering office supplies

Intermediate Architect/Architectural Designer

Both the Waimea, HI and Sun Valley, ID offices of de Reus Architects, Inc. are accepting resumes for a intermediate Architect or Architectural Designer with a minimum of 5 years of residential experience.  Background or an interest in high-end residential and hospitality design is preferred.  This individual must be able to contribute to the detailed preparation of design and construction documents, incorporating 2D data, materials, drawings and documents in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D Modeling.   They must also be able to perform and complete work on defined segments of a project, after initial and periodic interaction with Principals and organize own work efforts within that framework.

We are seeking an individual who is interested in working on all phases of architectural work, is motivated, focused, friendly and able to effectively collaborate within a project team.  Design sensibility, teamwork and communication skills are essential.  High proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modeling and graphic design software tools are required for this position.   It is expected that the individual has experience applying these tools to carry out all phase of project delivery.  This position requires a B.S. or B.A. in Architecture.

Junior Production Architectural Designer/Architectural Designer

Both the Waimea, HI and Sun Valley, ID offices of de Reus Architects, Inc. are accepting resumes for a Junior Production Architect/Architectural Designer with a minimum of 3 years of residential experience.

A strong background in graphic design and background in or an interest in high-end residential and hospitality design is preferred.  We are seeking an individual who is interested in working on all phases of architectural work, is motivated, focused, friendly and able to effectively collaborate within a project team.  Design sensibility, teamwork and communication skills are essential.

High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, WordPress and other 3D rendering programs.   Responsibilities include assisting in the layout, population and revisions; designing and producing custom publications, including project books, portfolios, proposals, brochures, presentations, case studies, digital and web-based publications, advertisements, awards submissions, posters, maps, and other collateral materials.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modeling Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3d Modeling tools and graphic design software tools are required for this position.  It is expected that the individual has experience applying these tools to carry out all phase of project delivery.  This position requires a B.S. or B.A. in Architecture.
